ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A woman suspected of witchcraft was gunned down in Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday.
Felisa Paglinawan, 69, was sleeping with her grandchildren at their house in Purok Dalaman, Barangay Doña Josefina, Tabina when an unidentified man shot her several times through an opening on the wall.
None of Paglinawanan‘s grandchildren were hurt in the gun attack.
Police said the victim was rumored to be a witch, locally known as mananaot, in their village.
