Super Bowl Sunday will kick off at 6 p.m., Feb. 4, in the lounge of Unitarian Universalist Church, 90 Holden St. Join church members and friends to watch the New England Patriots trounce the Philadelphia Eagles (Eagles fans, you come cheer your team on, too — dog masks highly recommended!) Bring a dish to share and BYOB. UUCW will provide non-alcoholic beverages, ice, and a few good munchies. We’ll watch the game together on the big screen.

How well do you know the Bible? The first course of Exploring the Bible: The Dickinson Series will be offered at 11:30 a.m., Sundays, starting Feb. 18, at Trinity Church, 23 Main St. The six-week session gives a broad overview of the entire Bible, including chapters on how to select a Bible suitable for your needs, how the Bible is organized, how the collection of books that comprise the Bible were chosen, different ways that people approach the text, and what archaeology has to tell us about the text and its stories. The course will be offered as a Lenten study. Please register through the church office by Feb. 9, so study guides can be ordered ($11.00 per person).
