While we all were busy speculating about Shah Rukh Khan’s darling son, Aryan Khan’s Bollywood debut, seems like the teenager has some different plans altogether. Aryan who’s studying in California, USA these days is in fact busy assisting some filmmakers there. We earlier assumed the star kid to follow his daddy dearest Shah Rukh Khan’s footsteps and join acting when he’s ready. But guess, he wants to try his hand at direction first; something that SRK hasn’t tried yet. Aryan recently posted a picture on his Instagram account revealing his work while assisting a filmmaker. The 90 second movie by Alex and Brannen is for a competition organised by Uber, USA. The theme of the competition is to reveal what Uber means to drivers/riders and the lucky winner will get a prize of $10,000. Aryan Khan, who continued his further studies in USA after London was assisting the filmmakers in this short movie. He’s urging all his fans in India and anywhere in the world to go ahead and vote for his work on YouTube. And showing our ardent support for SRK’s prince, we have done it already. Shah Rukh Khan had earlier stated that he would love to foray into direction in future. After being a successful actor and later even a producer, it’s high time he dons a director’s hat and nail the profession equally. Though SRK is more keen to direct for TV and not movies, seems like Aryan has a different opinion there. Just few month earlier we came across a video of Suhana Khan from her stage play. The video was enough for us to draw conclusions that she’ll be a great actress one day and make her daddy proud. And now with Aryan displaying his area of interest, we believe he’ll continue his journey and follow the footsteps of actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. Both these actors were assistant directors before they turned actors and started their successful journey. Aryan too, seems to have taken some cues from them. And if what we assume is right, his Bollywood debut isn’t too far away now. Dunno about SRK, but if there’s any person who we’ll be happy knowing Aryan’s decision, then it has to be his uncle Karan Johar. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director would love to be Aryan’s mentor when it comes to direction and there’s lot the star kid can learn from him.
But is Aryan Khan actually planning to take direction as his profession or he’s just too enthusiastic to learn every aspect about film-making? Now, that’s a question which only he can answer. Nevertheless, it doesn’t really matter what profession he picks in the end for our love and support for him will never change no matter what!
