IPL Auction 2018: Team Sunrisers Hyderabad - Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Brathwaite Bought

The Indian Premier League mega auction for the season 2018 is on at Bengalure and it will be fascinating to see how each of the teams finally shape up. We here at Cricketnext will tell you what is happening with your favourite teams as the franchise owners slug it out with big bucks in their pocket to get the best team combination. Here is what one-time champions Sunrisers Hyderabad are up to

After KXIP bought Dhawan for 5.2 Cr, Hyderabad used the RTM card and bought him for the same value.

Star Bangladesh All-rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan also could find only one taker and he will go to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2 Crore. Shakib last played for KKR in the IPL and will now don the jersey of SRH.

Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson heads back to Sunrisers Hyderabad has there were no other takers for him. Williamson heads back to SRH for Rs 3 Crore. Good, economical buy for the one-time champions. At various times Ian Chappell and Martin Crowe have ranked Williamson among the top four or five test cricket batsmen, along with Joe Root, Steve Smith, Virat Kohli and David Warner.

Manish Pandey will be laughing his way to the bank now as he has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whooping sum of Rs 11 Crores. Pandey last played for KKR in the league and they even had the option of retaining him but they chose not to.

West Indian star Carlos Brathwaite was sold for his base price of Rs 2 Crore to Sunrisers Hyderabad. There were not many takers for him in the auction and therefore it was very easy for SRH to acquire his services. Brathwaite last played for Delhi in the IPL.

All-rounder Yusuf Pathan was also sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 1.9 Cr. He played for Kolkata Knight Riders last time around but they didn't use the RTM card for him. Yusuf for 1.9 Cr is a good solid buy for SRH.

After an Intense bidding war between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, SRH win the race for Wridhhiman Saha. The Indian wicket-keeper for Test cricket — Saha — goes for a whopping amount of Rs 5 Cr. Saha's selling price is way ahead of his base price and that shows he was in demand for this auction.

No surprises as they used their RTM to get Rashid Khan.

Ricky Bhui goes to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 20 lakh. Mayank Agarwal goes to Kings XI Punjab for 1 Cr.

Delhi Daredevils thought they had won the race for youngster Deepak Hooda for 3.6 Cr. But Sunrisers Hyderabad played their second Right to Match card to get hold of the player.

They also buy T Natarajan (40 Lakh), Basil Thampi (95 lakh) and Syed Khalil Ahmed (3 crore).
