CATS in villages around Banbury have been shot, according to police.
Owners whose pets have been injured are urged to get in touch with officers.
In a tweet from the TVP Banbury account, officers said: "We have received reports that cats are being shot within a couple of villages around Banbury.
"We would encourage anyone who knows anything about this pointless act of cruelty to come forward or if your cat has been injured, please report it via 101."
A cat was shot with an air rifle in Eynsham earlier this month.
