Ahead of the 11th season of the IPL, which will be held from April 7 to May 27, 578 cricketers will go under the hammer in the two-day player auction in Bengaluru.
This is probably the biggest IPL auction ever. with new broadcast deal with Star and the value of the ground sponsors like Vivo, every team is already looking at a financial bonanza.
From an original pool of 1122, there will be 578 cricketers up for auction; of these, 360 are Indian and the rest overseas players. The list of 578 includes 244 capped players, 332 uncapped and two Associates players. A total of 182 players can be purchased.

- Ben Stokes sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 12.5 cr.
- Faf du Plessis bought for Rs 1.6 cr by Chennai Super Kings, who used their Right-to-match option.
- Rajasthan Royals exercise their Right-to-match option to buy Ajinkya Rahane for Rs 4 cr.
- Mitchell Starc goes to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 9.4 cr.
- CSK buy Harbhajan Singh for Rs 2 cr.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad buy Shakib Al Hasan for Rs 2 cr.
- Glenn Maxwell sold for Rs 9 cr to Delhi Daredevils. Kings XI decided not to use their RTM card.
- Delhi Daredevils also buy Gautam Gambhir for Rs 2.8 cr. KKR decided not to use their RTM card.
- CSK use their Right-To-Match option to retain Dwayne Bravo for Rs 6.4 cr.
- Kane Williamson goes to SRH for Rs 3 cr.
