Library activities

ELLWOOD CITY — The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include:

WEDNESDAY

10 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome.

THURSDAY

3 p.m. — “Hooked on Books,” a book discussion group for students in sixth through eighth grades. The group meets monthly for book discussion and pizza.

6 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

FEB. 3

10 a.m. — “Silly Science and Lego Day,” featuring silly science experiments conducted in a fun way and creative Lego building. The program is designed for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. No registration is required.

Noon — “Twenty-Something Book Discussion Group” designed for college-aged students and people in their twenties. The group meets once each month for book discussion and pizza.

A Valentine’s Day Family Night Party is planned for preschoolers and early elementary-aged children on Feb. 13. Featured will be a variety of fun-filled activities. Since this is a family night event, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Mark the date now and watch this column for more information.

“Movie Night for Adults” will not be held in January, but will resume its normal schedule on Feb. 28.
