Teenager shot at Lincoln Park gas station

A teenager was shot at about 11 p.m. Thursday at the Citgo gas station, 2575 Dix-Toledo, Lincoln Park. The station is near the intersection of Dix-Toledo and Champaign Roads, about a quarter mile from Lincoln Park High School.

Details of the incident weren’t immediately available. Police were still investigating the scene just before midnight.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. The extent of his injuries weren’t immediately released.

Lincoln Park Deputy Police Chief Joe Lavis confirmed the shooting, but said no other details were immediately available.

It is unclear at this time what led to the shooting or if anyone is in custody.
