We are seeking self-motivated and experienced Technical Artist/Riggers. We’re looking for someone who’s interested in taking initiative and is passionate about making high quality games. We’re constantly challenging ourselves to push the boundaries and looking for someone who is up for that challenge as well! Willingness to take on a variety of Technical Art and Rigging related tasks depending on the current needs is important.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Creating and developing fast, efficient and elegant character (and facial) rigs using Maya, Motionbuilder and proprietary tools.
- Skinning and helper joint creation
- Great eye for skinning and setting up helper joints for believable deformations
- Working closely with modeling and animation departments to create fully articulated, realistic characters.
- Integration of characters and rigs into the production pipeline
- Creating User Interfaces and tools to assist animators.
- Providing support to character rigs throughout production.
- Developing long-term strategies to automate character production.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years work experience in console game/feature film/broadcast VFX production
- Solid knowledge of rigging systems
- Have shipped 3+ successful products
- Comprehensive knowledge of Maya and Motionbuilder
- Provide reel demonstrating both control systems and complex deformations
- Solid time and project management skills
- Accessibility and willingness to collaborate is a must.
- Thorough understanding of techniques and technologies relating to character rigging and animation comprehension of core principles relating to rigging
- Excellent understanding of anatomy, structure, dynamics and character motion
- MEL and Python programming essential
