Former Patriots judge Brockton nursing home chili contest

Former Patriots offensive linemen Russ Hochstein and Tony Andruzzi visited St. Joseph Manor to serve as judges in the facility’s annual Chili Bowl contest Friday, where meat, beans, tomatoes and chili powder flowed freely.

BROCKTON – There will be plenty of chili served in Brockton during Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4, but two former members of the New England Patriots already had their fill at a local nursing home Thursday.

Former Patriots offensive linemen Russ Hochstein and Tony Andruzzi visited St. Joseph Manor to serve as judges in the facility’s annual Chili Bowl contest Friday, where meat, beans, tomatoes and chili powder flowed freely.

The employees prepared the entrees and served them up to the two veteran footballers.

The pair also brought their Super Bowl rings for residents and staff to try on.

Employee Marc Dorinvil ended up winning the contest.
