Inside Yeovil Town: Where Alexis Sanchez will prepare for his Man Utd debut – Exclusive

ALL eyes are on Yeovil Town this evening as they welcome Premier League big-guns Manchester United – and new signing Alexis Sanchez – to Huish Park.

Alexis Sanchez could make his Manchester United debut at Yeovil Town

After weeks of speculation over his Arsenal future, Sanchez finally secured his move to Manchester United this week, trading places with Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Old Trafford.

And just days after sealing his mega-money move, Sanchez could make his debut for the Red Devils this evening.

But instead experiencing his first taste of life as a Manchester United player in the state-of-the-art surroundings of Old Trafford, Sanchez is instead at Yeovil Town for the FA Cup – and it will be far cry from the plush facilities he enjoys in the Premier League.

Ahead of the encounter, the hosts have given Express Sport a sneaky look into the away dressing room where Sanchez will prepare for his United debut.

There are no padded seats for players to use while getting changed, no individual showers, no swanky refreshments section and probably not even any power sockets for the players to charge their phones, instead it’s a basic brown, peeling wooden bench and just hooks for all their belongings - more Sunday League than the Super Sunday Sanchez and co. are used to.

The shower facilities will be a different world to what players are used to in the glitz and glamour of the Premier League.

The white-tiled bathroom with green trim resembles an old secondary school changing room, and the United players will be crossing their fingers there’s enough hot water to clean up afterwards.

You said you've joined 'the biggest club in the world'. So it's only right that you start your United career in the biggest away dressing room in League Two

And ahead of the FA Cup showdown, Yeovil couldn’t resist teasing the former Arsenal star about the hospitality he’ll experience at the club.

“You said you've joined 'the biggest club in the world'. So it's only right that you start your United career in the biggest away dressing room in League Two,” they tweeted.

Sanchez completed his move to United this week after Jose Mourinho completed a stunning move to beat Manchester City to his signature.

And the United boss, who penned a contract extension yesterday, has been waxing lyrical about his new star.

"I think Alexis reminds me a little bit of the history - I don't know, it's not a history, almost a metaphor - when you see the tree with amazing oranges at the top and cannot get there. You say: 'Oh, I got the lower ones because I don't like the ones at the top.’

"You like the ones at the top. They are so nice, so orange, so round, so full of juice but you cannot get there so you say: 'I don't want to go there' or 'I didn't like it, I prefer the other ones.' It reminds me of that story.”

And Luke Shaw has been buzzing about his quality in training already.

He said: “Obviously [he’s] a phenomenal player, one of the best in the world and the quality he will bring to the side will surely boost our attacking threat.

“We’ve already seen his quality in training and some of things he’s done are a joke.”
