Jessore : A committee has been formed here to save the century-old trees on the Benapole-Jessore road.
The 41-member coordination committee was formed at a meeting held at the Jessore Institute on Friday for the development of Jessore Road and to protect trees.
Khandkar Azizul Haque Moni and Zillur Rahman Vitu were made the committee convenor and member secretary respectively.
The committee members decided to place its views towards the people through a press conference on February 15.
They also thanked media men, environmental activists and people from all walks of life to their role in the movement for saving the tree.
