A 25-year-old inmate of the Jefferson County Correctional Center in Texas was caught Thursday, Jan. 25 red-handed and well-stocked going back into the prison.

Joshua Hanson, of Dallas, was arrested while running back to the prison after Jefferson County deputies observed him leaving the back side of the facility and crossing onto private land to pick up a large duffel bag filled with contraband, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department said in a release.

The duffel bag contained three bottles of brandy, a bottle of whisky, tobacco, snacks, fruit and a large amount of home-cooked food. Charges also indicate he was in possession of marijuana.

A photo of the bag’s contents show a bag of unsalted mixed nuts, Tootsie Pops and Fritos, plus foil containers appearing to carry sausages, chicken and green beans.

Hanson was in prison on narcotics charges. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
