Army requests 'not to degrade' them 
Sri Lanka Army has requested all the stakeholders not to engage in activities that would bring disrepute to the military.
Issuing a statement, the Army Headquarters said that it has noticed that certain factions are working towards tarnishing the Sri Lanka Army's image to discourage military personnel and mislead them.
It said undue publicity is given to military members' foreign travel allowance, food rations, salaries and allowances for that purpose.
