CHATHAM -- The Edwardsville Tigers wrapped up an outright Southwestern Conference championship with a win over East St. Louis during a quadrangular meet on Thursday.

The Tigers knocked off the Flyers 55-15 in Chatham to finish the league season with a perfect 7-0 record. It’s the seventh consecutive conference championship for Edwardsville.

EHS also picked up a 42-28 victory over host Glenwood and a 41-16 victory over Normal West to run its overall record to 23-2.

Before the Class 3A Quincy Regional on Feb. 3, the Tigers will close out the regular season at the Peoria Duals at Peoria Richwoods at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
