Light Pole And Parked Car Damaged In Hit-And-Run Crash

Officers are searching for the driver responsible for crashing his car in west Sioux Falls.

At about 2 a.m. Friday, police were called to West 51st Street and Sertoma Avenue for a car crash. By the time officers arrived, the driver had fled from the scene.

Police said the car was headed south on Sertoma Avenue when it left the road, crashed into a light pole, hit a car parked in the driveway, and stopped before nearly hitting a house.

The investigation is ongoing. Detectives have described the suspect as a Native American or Hispanic man.
