POLICE have released an image of two men they would like to speak to after another man was allegedly attacked and had his mobile phone stolen in York city centre.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was punched in the face and had his phone stolen by two men in St Leonards Place as he was walking in the direction of Exhibition Square, North Yorkshire Police said.

It happened at around 4am on November 12 last year.

Officers would like to speak to the two men pictured as they may have important information that could assist the investigation, the force added.

Anyone who recognises the men or has information that can help the investigation should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101.
