Transfer News LIVE updates: All the latest gossip from Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea Real Madrid, Barcelona, the Premier League, La Liga and more in the January window.

Friday, January 26

8:00pm: Frank Lampard would love to see Roma star Edin Dzeko join Chelsea this month.

He said: “[Andy] Carroll and [Peter] Crouch are not the kind of names Chelsea have gone for in the past.

“But January is a tough one and Sanchez is a one-off. The majority of the time you’re looking at making minor adjustments.

“If it’s a Crouch or Carroll, it’s just a back-up but Dzeko is something different. He is a very good player, an all-round striker with all the attributes.”

7:15pm: Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Thomas Lemar, according to the bookies.

BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “Liverpool’s long-term target Thomas Lemar is edging ever closer to Anfield and the Reds are now priced at 5/2 to sign the French winger.

“Serie A champions Juventus are also looking to freshen their attacking line and Lemar could be the perfect candidate. They are priced at 4/1 to bring the Frenchman over to Turin.

“Arsenal and Barcelona have also expressed their interest in the forward and are available at 8/1 apiece.”

Arsenal are eager to sign Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

6:30pm: Alexis Sanchez has posted a message to his new Manchester United fans on social media.

The Chilean superstar completed his stunning move from Arsenal earlier this week.

Alongside a picture of himself in a United kit, Sanchez wrote: “And if you have to start from zero, well it starts.”

6:00pm: The odds on Olivier Giroud moving from Arsenal to Chelsea this month have been slashed.

The Blues are being linked with the Frenchman and having been as long as 16/1 for a move this time last week, Giroud's odds have tumbled to just 5/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "In a remarkable twist of events, Chelsea's odds of landing Giroud this month have reached record lows as Conte continues to search for the perfect back-up striker."

5:30pm: Borussia Dortmund could compromise and strike a reduced deal with Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners want the Gabon striker but have failed to agree a price with Dortmund.

The Bundesliga club want €70m (£61m) for Aubameyang - which would be a club-record fee for Arsenal.

But German outlet Sport1 claim Dortmund could compromise and strike a deal for €65m (£57m).

5:15pm: Rafael Benitez has told Brighton to forget signing Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic this month even if they do come up with the asking price.

The Toon chief said: "It was clear to him and his agent, if we can bring a striker in then we can consider anything - apart from the Premier League. If we can't bring in a striker, then we have to consider carefully because we need players.

"I see the press that Brighton offered £7m or £8m, but we are not considering selling a player to a Premier League team. That will not make sense.

"We have to manage the players we have. It doesn't matter how much teams offer in the Premier League because we can't consider offers if we don't buy the players."

5:00PM: Matt Le Tissier believes Chelsea could miss out on a top-four finish this season if they fail to sign Roma star Edin Dzeko in the coming days.

He told Sky Sports: "I think they are in trouble in terms of the top four and that it will be very tight.

"Antonio Conte doesn't look like a man loving his job and if he doesn't get his way in terms of strengthening the squad then I could see a parting of ways.

"In terms of a back-up striker, Dzeko is as good as any out there, averaging a goal every 1.5 games over the last 18 months."
