After four NASCAR Cup Series championships and 93 wins, it's safe to say that not too much makes Jeff Gordon worry behind the wheel.
When he jumped back into his No. 24 Chevrolet for a new Pepsi Super Bowl commercial, he had a great time but admitted he was a little anxious at some points. In the ad for the "Pepsi Generations" campaign, Gordon was working with another driver, who was piloting a DeLorean.
"I will say, I was a little bit nervous because they were pushing me to be a little bit more of a stunt driver in this scenario," Gordon told For The Win on Thursday.

So that's certainly a little bit different than just driving a race car."</p> <p>The full version of the ad - Pepsi provided FTW with a six-second teaser - will be released online next week leading up to Super Bowl Sunday.</p> <p>The retired NASCAR driver passed the metaphorical keys to his iconic car over to Chase Elliott two seasons ago - <a rel="noopener" target="_blank" href="http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/01/jimmie-johnson-nascar-cup-series-oldest-driver-hendrick-motorsports-william-byron-chase-elliott-alex-bowman-grandpa">rookie William Byron will drive it in 2018 with Elliott in the No. 9</a> - so Gordon said he loves having the chance to get back in the car, even if it's just for a commercial.</p><asset-img UniqueId="738023" /> <p>(John Sciulli/Getty Images for Pepsi)</p> <asset-img UniqueId="738028" /> <p>(John Sciulli/Getty Images for Pepsi)</p> <p>"I spent so much time behind the wheel of the 24 that I was looking forward to stepping out of it," Gordon said of his 23 full-time Cup Series seasons.</p> <p>"So when I get the opportunity now to get behind the wheel - whether it's for a photoshoot or a commercial like this - it's fun. It's exciting to feel that engine fire up and the power. And you know, it's one thing to go out and have to focus on being competitive each and every weekend when I was on the NASCAR circuit, but in this scenario, I get to have fun with something that I drove for years."</p> <div id="jwplayer_SMuT7UEB_t2dCqACG_div"/> <p><strong>MORE:</strong></p> <p><a href="http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/01/wwe-xfl-vince-mcmahon-new-football-league-xfl-crazy-rules-highlights-nicknames-he-hate-me-video/?utm_source=USATAPP&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=inline-related">9 crazy things you forgot about the original XFL</a></p> <p><a href="http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/01/jalen-ramsey-jaguars-patriots-comeback-sound-fx-micd-up-sideline-teammates-afc-nfl-super-bowl/?utm_source=USATAPP&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=inline-related">Jalen Ramsey kept warning teammates about a Patriots comeback, but no one listened</a></p> <p><a href="http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/01/cleveland-cavaliers-kevin-love-charles-barkley-nba-tnt-rant-video/?utm_source=USATAPP&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=inline-related">Charles Barkley delivers fiery rant on Cavaliers blaming Kevin Love: 'That's just bogus and lightweight'</a></p> <p><a href="http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/01/westbrook-lebron-all-star-draft-pick-carmelo-reaction-video-alphabetical-order-thunder-nba/?utm_source=USATAPP&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=inline-related">Russell Westbrook shouts at a heckling Carmelo after learning LeBron didn't actually pick him last</a></p> <p><a href="http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/01/lebron-james-all-star-team-kyrie-irving-kevin-love-kevin-durant-draft-pick-nba-2018-video/?utm_source=USATAPP&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=inline-related">LeBron explained why he picked Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in All-Star draft</a></p></body></html>
