Drew Carey Almost Fell Right Off Stage on The Price Is Right
A fan got a little too excited when she was called to "come on down."
It's known that fans can get a little crazy when they get the chance to "come on down" on The Price is Right. But on a recent episode, one contestant took the cake as she dragged Drew Carey down with her after she was overcome with excitement.
The contestant, named Sona, ran up to Carey when she was called, and started jumping up and down as she hugged him. A few seconds later, Sona tumbled while holding on to the host, bringing him down with her.
The crowd gasped as Carey fell onto a couple of light bulbs at the end of the stage, which prevented him from completely falling off.
Audience members immediately ran over to help him, but Carey stood right back up and started laughing. "I'm fine," he assured everyone while Sona helped him up (and continued to jump with excitement). "Whoops!" she said repeatedly.
Cameras panned over to audience members who were laughing in disbelief over the incident as Sona continued to cheer.
George Gray, the prize announcer for the game show, then jokingly warned Sona to "not break the host or our set."
Sona ended up playing a game called "Pass the Buck," which gave her the chance to win a brand-new car. She did not end up taking home the vehicle, but did walk out with $3,000 and a memory she certainly will never forget.
