So Britney Spears hysteria has hit the UK with the news that the world famous pop princess is bringing her Piece of Me to our shores.
Fresh from her well received run at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Britney will perform a string of dates on British soil, kicking off with a headline appearance at Brighton Pride and also calling at Manchester, Glasgow, London and Dublin.
As things stand, there isn’t a Newcastle date on her tour schedule, with the nearest venue for her Geordie devotees being Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre.

How much will tickets be for Britney Spears in Scarborough?
According to the Open Air Theatre website, prices will start at £45. The website also suggests tickets will be a mixture of general admission standing and seated. General admission standing are £66.
Is there a pre-sale?
Yes pre-sale for O2 customers will start at 9am on Thursday, January 25, while Ticketmaster, Eventim and Live Nation pre-sale will start at 9am on Friday.

General sale tickets will be available from Ticketmaster and Live Nation on Saturday, January 27.

How far is Scarborough Open Air Theatre from Newcastle?
According to Google the drive will take just over 2 hours from the centre of Newcastle while you can also get the train with one change at York. The train station is about a 20 minute walk from the theatre.
