At Iola, the Falcons pulled away in the second half to secure a key Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division win over the Thunderbirds.
With the win, Amherst improved to 7-1 in conference while Iola-Scandinavia slipped to 5-3.
Colton Groholski and Marcus Glodowski led the charge on offense for the Falcons, posting 23 and 21 points, respectively. Amherst outscored the hosts by 12 in the second half after leading by just five points at halftime.
Justin Sivertson recorded 11 points while also tallying five rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Thunderbirds. Carter Kurki and Connor Kurki each added seven points, with Carter Kurki also dishing out three assists. Charlie Stockwell grabbed six rebounds.

Loyal had four players score in double figures, led by Jordan Radue’s 14 points. Kole Bogdonovich, Waylon Froeba and Luke Bogdonovich each added 11 points. Kole Bogdonovich and Luke Bogdonovich each hit three 3-pointers.
Devin Toburen tallied 12 points for Greenwood while Cole Zimbauer had seven.

At Tomahawk, the hosts scored the final two goals of the contest to stun the Pacelli co-op in a nonconference clash.
Tomahawk took a 3-0 lead into the second period but led by just one entering the final period after the Pacelli co-op outscored the hosts 3-1 in the second period.
The Cardinals took the lead in the final period on a pair of goals from Griffin Firkus. Tomahawk tied the clash at five on an Aaron Evans goal in the 13th minute. Karson Bartz then delivered the game-winner in the 14th minute on a power play.
Josh Bandy, Richard Zupan and Carter Snyder each scored a goal for Pacelli while Daniel Mitch had two assists. Goalie Bryce Huettner made 33 saves.
