Kimora Lee Simmons finally responds to ex-husband Russell Simmons’ sexual assault allegations  

Kimora Lee Simmons is standing by her ex-husband and friend Russell Simmons, who was accused by several women of sexual assault.

Kimora Lee, who was married to Simmons from 1998 to 2009 and with whom she shares two daughters, Ming and Aoki, took to Instagram to say the accusations against him are “nothing like the person I have known.”

“I have known Russell for over 25 years. We were close friends, married, divorced and remained friends, co-parents and partners throughout it all,” Kimora Lee wrote.

“These allegations against him are nothing like the person I have known in all that time,” she continued. “I have known him to be a caring and supportive father and someone who has worked tirelessly to uplift disenfranchised communities.”

At least six women have accused the Def Jam co-founder of rape, including a woman named Jennifer Jarosik, who filed a lawsuit Wednesday alleging Simmons raped her in 2016.

Simmons has repeatedly denied the accusations, noting he has dedicated his life to spiritual learning and healing.

The NYPD is currently investigating several allegations against the New York native.
