Letter writer says Trump’s border wall will cost the average family of four $250 of after-tax earnings.

Of the approximately 330 million people living in America, about 6 million are undocumented immigrants from Mexico.

President Trump wants to build a $22 billion wall to keep more of them out. You know, the ones who can’t climb ladders or walk through tunnels or get seasick on boats or are afraid to fly or get help from coyotes.
So, if Mexico doesn’t pay for his wall and we do, what does it cost? Three ways to look at this:

1. If it could actually block 6 million additional illegal immigrants, that’s approximately $3,500 per future illegal immigrant.

2. $22 billion could fund 20,000 additional border patrol officers for 10 years.

3. For an average family of four, it will cost $250 of after-tax earnings per family.

So ask yourself, do you really want to pay $250 for a Trump wall?
