Mauricio Pochettino hints at Real Madrid move before INSULTING Arsenal and Barcelona

TOTTENHAM boss Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid.

Mauricio Pochettino refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid.

However, the Argentine said that he would rather work on a farm in his home country than take charge of Barcelona or Arsenal.

When asked about his links with Real Madrid, Pochettino said: “You never know what will happen in football.”

Current boss Zineidne Zidane is currently under heavy pressure at the Bernabeu and the Frenchman has admitted he will be sacked if Real lose to Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Pochettino is the favourite to replace Zidane in the Spanish capital.

I am never going to be manager of Barcelona or Arsenal because I am so identified with Tottenham and Espanyol.

However, the Spurs boss is adamant that he would not leave Wembley for any old club - and especially not one which contrasts with his own emotions.

"I am so clear,” Pochettino said.

"I am never going to be manager of Barcelona or Arsenal because I am so identified with Tottenham and Espanyol.

“I grew up in Newell's Old Boys and will never manage Rosario Central.

"That is my decision because I prefer to work on my farm in Argentina than in some places.

Zinedine Zidane is close to being sacked by Real chiefs.

“But my commitment is massive in this club. I am working like I am going to be here forever.

"But in the end, it is like the players, you never know what is going to happen in football. It is a lot of rumours about this, about that.

"Tomorrow [Tottenham chairman] Daniel Levy could have a bad night and say, 'Oh I am going to sack Mauricio'. And then I look stupid saying I am not going to work in one place or another or another.

"You never know in football. That is the problem. It is a very unstable situation."
