Over the past few months, the #MeToo movement has empowered women to come forward with untold stories of abuse from men.
While the root of the news has centered in the entertainment industry, it was just a matter of time before the sporting world was impacted.
For the NFL, an allegation hit home at its own network and against some of the most recognizable names in the sport: Ex-Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, Warren Sapp and Marshall Faulk.

As the legal process plays out, the NFL Network officially responded. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the NFL Network is denying any wrongdoing alleged by the accuser, former NFL Network wardrobe stylist Jami Cantor, in the case.
In one of their defense arguments, the NFL claims, "The alleged conduct of Defendants complained of in the Complaint was approved, consented to, authorized and/or ratified by Plaintiff through her actions, omissions, and course of conduct."
They also claim Cantor failed to exhaust all possible remedies available to her before filing suit and say the decision to fire her was legitimate, nondiscriminatory and non-retaliatory.
The NFL Network also says they exercised reasonable care to prevent, and promptly correct, any discriminatory or otherwise unlawful behavior.
If proven, the allegations by Cantor are serious.
She claimed throughout her time at the network, she was subjected to sexual harassment by various network employees.
Cantor said they would touch her butt, breasts and point to her private parts in front of her along with making inappropriate comments. Further, she said they would send her naked or semi-naked photos of themselves.
Cantor claimed the network did nothing in response to her complaints -- instead, they cut her hours and increased her work. She was eventually fired in October 2016, after being falsely accused of stealing clothes from one of the network employees.
With Super Bowl week on the horizon, it's the worst possible time for this news to leak out about the league.
