EAST GREENBUSH - The town has settled a long-simmering lawsuit over the clean-up of sludge at the town's waste water treatment plant.
The town officials called in ServPro, a Saratoga County-based firm, to clean up the sludge after the goo poured onto a construction site at the plant on March 13, 2015.
After the clean-up was completed, ServPro charged $104,00o but the town's insurance provider claimed the work should have only cost $54,000.
ServPro filed a lawsuit and the case kicked around for nearly three years.
On Thursday, the town board voted unanimously to settle the lawsuit for $89,000.
