Liverpool closing in on Thomas Lemar signing ahead of Juventus and Arsenal - bookies

LIVERPOOL are closing in on the signing of Thomas Lemar, according to the bookies.

The Reds are leading the race to bring the Monaco man to Anfield ahead of Juventus and Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Liverpool have had a busy January, bringing Virgil van Dijk in but selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142m.

And the bookies think there could be even more business done before Wednesday’s deadline with Lemar possibly joining.

BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “Liverpool’s long-term target Thomas Lemar is edging ever closer to Anfield and the Reds are now priced at 5/2 to sign the French winger.

“The 22-year-old has long since been admired by Jurgen Klopp and would be a great replacement for Philippe Coutinho with the Monaco star capable of adding even more pace and dynamism to an already strong Liverpool attack.

“They are priced at 4/1 to bring the Frenchman over to Turin.

Arsenal and Barcelona have also expressed their interest in the forward and are available at 8/1 apiece.
