Minister says mobile-based coaching will be provided for NEET soon
Speaking to the media, school education minister K A Sengottaiyan said, "we have vowed to equip our students in all possible ways to make them compete with their counterparts from other streams in NEET. As part of the ongoing measures, mobile coaching will be provided."
He said that in the next 10 days, the remaining 312 coaching centres for the common entrance examination would be opened in various parts of Tamil Nadu. "Thanks to these measures, we are sure more students from TN will get admission in medical courses this year," he said.
The school education department, which is implementing many reforms lately, scrapped the system of naming the toppers and their scores in class 10 and 12 public examinations, in a bid to bring down peer pressure among students.
Also recently, Sengottaiyan said the state government will select 100 students from various government and government-aided schools and provide them an opportunity to go abroad on a study tour.
Stating that the government will set aside Rs three crore for the purpose every year, he said details of the selection process will be unveiled soon.
