Mumbai: 6 MNS councillors are now legally Shiv Sena corporators

Mumbai: The six councillors who joined the ruling Shiv Sena party of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recently after defecting Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) are legally the corporators of Sena now. The Kokan Bhavan Commission has approved all six corporators induction and has sent a letter same to BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta.
The approval announcement was made by Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshvar at General Civic body corporation on Thursday late evening which consist 227 corporators from all parties. After the induction, Sena strength increased in the civic corporation against the second largest party Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) who dreamed to overpower them in the municipal body. With MNS six councillors and with the support of three independent corporators, sena’s strength has increased from 84 to 93.
