Alexis Sanchez: Arsenal and Manchester United face UEFA hearing over drug test mix up
ARSENAL and Manchester United are to face questioning from UEFA after Alexis Sanchez's drug test mix up.
Sanchez sealed a move from Arsenal to Manchester United on Monday.
But according to Spanish newspaper Sport, UEFA’s anti-doping control officers arrived at Arsenal’s training ground on Monday to test players and Sanchez was among those required to give a sample.
However, it is claimed the Chilean had been given permission by Arsenal to travel to Manchester and finalise his move and undergo a medical. And it meant Sanchez missed the required test.
The report says Arsenal and United will have to appear before UEFA and provide reasons for why Sanchez was not available.

To be able to choose from Mata, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial and now Alexis is fantastic for me and the team
Sanchez is expected to make his United debut tomorrow in the FA Cup against Yeovil Town.
And United boss Jose Mourinho says the 29-year-old will create greater competition for places at Old Trafford.
He said: “We now have five attacking players of high quality.

“To be able to choose from Mata, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial and now Alexis is fantastic for me and the team.
“Not everyone will be able to play at the same time but that is life at a big club; you cannot compete in a serious way with just 11 players, it is impossible. We want to improve all the time, we want to achieve big things and we will not stop until we do that.
“Players at big clubs have to accept competition for places. They might not like finding themselves on the bench some days but I am happy with that.”
