Bail plea of Congress leader adjourned

Justice T. Rajini of Hyderabad High Court on Thursday adjourned to Tuesday all the petitions filed by Premsagar Rao, Congress leader from Adilabad seeking anticipatory bail, to Tuesday. He is facing criminal cases wherein the officers charged him with inciting Adivasis against Lambadas and disturbing the peace. The judge indicated that he may not be arrested till next hearing. There are 25 cases registered against him and the police specifically named him as the main instigator for the riots in Telangana districts between Lambadas and Adivasis.

South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Thursday appeared in person before a Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Shameem Akther in a contempt case. He told the court that the orders of court are complied with. The officer was summoned by the Bench when it noticed that the orders of the on compassionate appointment to child of second wife of a deceased railway employee were not complied with. The Bench had rejected the contention of the Railways that the child of second wife is not eligible for any compassionate appointment. After the judgment in writ petition was delivered , the officers did not give compassionate appointment. Then contempt case was filed and the officer appeared on Thursday and said that the administration had given the employment in Guntakal division and they have implemented the order of the court in respect of providing a job to P. Pratap, son of trackman Govinda Swamy of Renigunta in Chittoor district. The bench closed the contempt case.
