WeWork has launched a new program to help veterans find work and living spaces called Patriot Boot Camp in Austin, Texas.
The new service will allow ten veterans with new ideas a six month stay at a sponsored workspace, as well as access to WeWork's abilities. The veterans will also have a meeting space and lounge, as well as contact to the founders of the program, who are also veterans themselves.
Nathan Lenahan, WeWork's southern US head of operations and US Army vet, had this to say:
As both a veteran and an entrepreneur, I understand firsthand how uniquely prepared veterans are to build a successful company. During your time in the military, you experience the power of overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles through the incredible communities you build. Unfortunately, long hours, demanding clients, and lean staffing often leaves entrepreneurs feeling like they’re building their business alone, missing the communities that helped them overcome their toughest challenges. WeWork is grateful for this opportunity to partner with Bunker Labs and Patriot Boot Camp to support our nation’s heroes with the space, skills and community needed to create their life’s work."
