PACIFICA — Police in Pacifica are investigating a home-invasion robbery in which a resident was threatened and hit with a gun.
The episode was reported about 11:40 a.m. Thursday at a residence on the 300 block of Firecrest Avenue. A resident told police he answered a knock at his door only to be confronted by a man who brandished a handgun at him and forced his way into the home.
Two other men then stepped into view, one of them also armed with a handgun, and entered the residence, according to police.
One of the men allegedly hit the resident with a handgun. Police said the trio then searched the home and took an undisclosed amount of property.
The resident was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.
The men were last seen wearing dark-colored clothing and were possibly driving a dark-colored sedan, according to police.
Additional details about the incident, including whether the home was specifically targeted, were not immediately available.
