Swedish Director General for Trade Teppo Tauriainen and Director General for International Development Cooperation Johannes Oljelund will be leading a delegation of 13 officials to Bangladesh from January 28 to February 1.
The delegation will comprise several representatives from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as from the Swedish National Board of Trade, Swedfund and Business Sweden.
The main purpose of this visit is to discuss the broader relations between Bangladesh and Sweden, said the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday.
The delegation will have meetings with stakeholders within the trade and development sectors and visit projects funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
During the four-day programme, the delegation will meet representatives of the government of Bangladesh, as well as representatives of civil society and the private sector.
Bilateral meetings with officials of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Finance (External Relations Division) will also be held.
The delegation will also have a chance to discuss future projects and the possibilities and challenges in Bangladesh. -UNB
