There are umpteen entrepreneurial opportunities available to the youth where they can explore new start-up ventures, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y.S. Chowdary has said.
Addressing the media at Andhra University Senate Hall here on Thursday after inaugurating the awareness programme ‘Be an Entrepreneur of Science and Technology’ (BEST) hosted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Mr. Chowdary suggested the students to utilise the existing technology and become job providers rather than job seekers. Responding to a query, he stated that a pharmaceutical analytical lab was proposed in Andhra Pradesh.
“The lab is more suitable to Visakhapatnam as it is emerging as a pharma hub of the State post bifurcation. The facility will be developed in an area of 10,000 sft. However, the location of the lab will be decided once we get final approval from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu,” said Mr. Chowdary.
A Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged between HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Associate Provost of Youngstown State University Ohio Nate Myers in the presence of Mr. Chowdary.
