A CAR'S rear window was "completely shattered" in a supermarket car park in York.
North Yorkshire Police said the car was damaged in the Iceland/Aldi car park on Fulford Road at around 2pm on Monday.
A police spokesman explained: "A woman went into the Iceland store and on returning to her Silver Volvo V50, she noticed the back windscreen was completely shattered.
"Police attended and it looked as though something had hit the corner of the window with impact."
North Yorkshire Police is asking for the public's help to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The force is urging anyone who witnessed the damage to get in touch.
