70-year-old man gunned down in Ecija
TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija — A 70-year-old widower was gunned down by an unidentified suspect at 7 p.m. on Wednesday here in Purok 1, Valle village.
Illuminado Rodriguez was watching television at the terrace of his neighbor’s house when a gunman shot him once in the head.
Rodriguez died instantly. He was the third person reported to have been killed in Nueva Ecija on Jan. 24. A couple was shot dead at 12:20 p.m. in Sta. Rosa town.
Mary Anne Hernandez, secretary of Nuevo Ecija Gov. Czarina Umali, was killed in this town over a week ago. /je
