Warriors point guard Stephen Curry won’t participate in the NBA three-point contest during All-Star Weekend next month in Los Angeles, but he does plan to compete in the event next year in his hometown of Charlotte, according to an ESPN report.

Curry has participated in the three-point contest five times, winning the event in 2015. He last competed in 2016, when teammate Klay Thompson beat him by tying Curry’s final-round record of 27 points.

Thompson, Miami guard Wayne Ellington, Washington guard Bradley Beal and Phoenix guard Devin Booker are reportedly expected to participate in the three-point contest Feb. 17 at Staples Center.
