Ukraine to open LTE spectrum bids on 26 January

Ukrainian national telecommunications regulator NKRZI will open the bids in the first tender for LTE spectrum in Ukraine on 26 January, reports BizLigaNet. Mobile operators Kyivstar, Lifecell and Vodafone Ukraine submitted offers.

The operators have already paid the deposits worth 10 percent of the starting price for the frequencies.

The tender includes seven lots in the 2,600 MHz band. The starting price is UAH 572 million under the first lot and UAH 286 million for each of the other lots.  

The tender is planned to be finalised on 31 January.
