SALEM — The Winnacunnet High School swim teams both came out of the pool on Sunday with positive reviews at The Workout Club.

The girls went undefeated, beating Windham, Pelham, St. Thomas Aquinas, Nashua North and Hollis-Brookline, while the Winnacunnet boys went 3-2.

“The kids are all swimming very well and we are looking forward to an exciting end to our season,” Winnacunnet coach Melissa Patterson said.

In the girls meet, sophomore Anne Rademacher won both the 500 freestyle (5 minutes, 28.39 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.45).

Rademacher was also part of Winnacunnet’s winning 4x200 medley team, which also featured sophomore Haillie Figueroa-Duarte (backstroke), freshman Hannah Pratt (breaststroke), and junior Katherina Brandt. The quartet finished in a time of 2:05.72.

The 4x400 freestyle relay team, comprised of Brandt, senior Sadie Gaskell, Figueroa-Duarte and Rademacher, placed second in 4:11.45.

Pratt (200 freestyle, 2:13.33), Figueroa-Duarte (200 IM, 2:40.08) and Gaskell (50 freestyle, 28.30) all placed second in their respective events.

Rademacher swam a 1:13.45 in the 100 backstroke and has now qualified for the state meet in every event.

Figueroa-Duarte qualified for the state meet in the 100 backstroke (1:10.19).

In the boys race, senior captain Joshua Roberts placed first in the 200 freestyle in 1:55.48.

Roberts placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.23), qualifying for the state meet; he has now qualified for state in every event.

Junior Evan Domingos qualified for the state meet in the 200 IM (2:30.87), and has now qualified in six events.

Freshman Duncan Collins placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:40.77) and qualified for the state meet. Collins also placed second in the 200 IM and lowered his 200 IM state qualifying time (2:20.71).

Freshman Wolfgang Brandt placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:08.4) and improve his state qualifying time.

The 4x400 freestyle relay team, comprised of Roberts, Collins, Brandt and junior Anthony Daniels, placed third in 4:04.31. The 4x200 team of Roberts, Domingos, Daniels and senior Joshua Ryan placed third in 1:44.39.

Daniels improved his state qualifying time in the 100 butterfly (1:08.98),

Winnacunnet will compete against Pinkerton Academy, Mascenic, Milford and Souhegan in its last meet of the regular season on Saturday at Southern New Hampshire University. The meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The state meet is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 10.
