Indian mobile operators Idea Cellular and Vodafone India have expanded their 2G intra-circle roaming agreements for increased coverage of the country's territory, ahead of completion of their planned merger. The two operators have also signed a 4G intra-circle roaming partnership deal, The Economic Times reports.

The two operators also have Active Infrastructure sharing agreements in place. The expanded agreement covers over 12,500 new towns and villages where one of the operators was not previously present, Idea said. Idea also reports it will launch its own VoLTE service in March this year.
