YORK Carers Centre will host its first Carers’ Cafe next month.

The Spurriergate Centre is to open its doors on Wednesday, February 7 from 10am to 11.30am.

The cafe gives carers from across the city the chance to come along and enjoy a free drink and teacake and meet other carers.

Carers can bring the person they care for if they wish and there is no need to book. The Spurriergate Centre is wheelchair accessible. There will be a carer support worker there each month to talk to and the centre brings a lot of information from other organisations to look at.
