Wisconsin-Superior rolled to its 42nd consecutive UMAC win Wednesday night, crushing Northland College 77-28 at Mertz Mortorelli Gym.
Hailey Kontny scored a game-high 19 points to put her eighth on the Yellowjackets' career scoring list. Hannah Norlin added 12 points and Jade Tucker had 11 for league-leading UWS (15-4 overall, 10-0 UMAC).
The Yellowjackets led 40-14 at halftime and held the Lumberjills (1-17, 0-10) to 22 percent shooting from the field and just 16.7 percent (2-for-12) from 3-point range.
• Rashonna Thomas had 19 points and three steals as St. Scholastica jumped to a 23-7 lead after the first quarter en route to a 74-50 UMAC victory over North Central in Minneapolis.
Sam Brannen added 12 points off the bench and Michala Walther had 11 points for St. Scholastica (10-8, 6-4). The Saints shot a season-high 46 percent from the floor and had a season-high 19 assists.
Lizzy Swanson had 14 points and five rebounds to lead North Central (5-12, 1-9), which had 22 turnovers and shot just 34 percent.
