XtalPi Closes $15 Million for AI-Aided Drug Design
XtalPi of Boston and Shenzhen has closed a $15 million Series B funding led by Sequoia China, with participation from Google's venture arm and existing investor Tencent. XtalPi combines artificial intelligence, quantum physics, and high-performance cloud computing to aid in drug design. The company believes its proprietary algorithms can predict important characteristics of small molecule drug candidates, saving development time. So far, XtalPi has raised over $20 million.
