The Delhi Government has initiated a high-level enquiry into the tragic incident of fire at industrial unit in Bawana which claimed 17 lives. The Government has appointed Principal Secretary (Home) to inquire into the incident that happened last Saturday.
The order by the Home department of the Delhi Government requests the concerned officials to visit the accident site on Wednesday for an inspection.
Among the officials involved in enquiry are Commissioner of Industries, Commissioner Labour Department, Commissioner North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Deputy Commissioner of North district, Deputy Commissioner of police , Rohini, Additional Commissioner of police (licensing), Director , Delhi Fire Services and Executive Director , DSIIDC.
While both the BJP and the Congress demanded a judicial probe into the incident. Delhi Government appears to have taken serious cognizance of the incident and have initiated a high level inquiry involving the top officials to probe the tragic fire.
