Ujjain: Minister, div com motivate students during “Prerna Samvaad” in various schools

Ujjain: The ‘Prerna Samvaad’ programme, was held at various schools in which energy minister Paras Jain motivated students on the need to work hard for a better future. He told students of the Government Jivajiganj Higher Secondary School and Government Shaligram Tomar Higher Secondary School, Daulatganj, that they could scale several heights on the basis of knowledge.

Jain inaugurated a library in the school under RMS. After this, he participated in the Prerna Samvaad programme of the Government Shaligram Tomar Higher Secondary School. District education officer Sanjay Goyal, school principals KK Porwal and Devendra Kumar Arya, corporator Yogeshwari Rathore, Rajat Mehta and Suresh Rathore were present. Jain also felicitated the lecturer Veena Kulshreshth of Jivajiganj School by presenting her a shawl on her retirement this month.

Similarly, Divisional commissioner MB Ojha talked to the students of the Lokmanya Tilak Higher Secondary School and Government Madhav Nagar School of Excellence during a similar programme held there. He stressed upon the need for regularity, discipline, thoroughness and timeliness in a student’s life. These, he said, were the basic mantras that would help in achieving success in any field. Food Commission member Kishore Khandelwal, Joint Commissioner Prateek Sonwalkar, SK Shrivastava, in-charge joint director Sanjay Goyal, Excellence School Principal Bharat Vyas, Loti Principal Ashok Kadel, teachers and students were present.

Ojha asked students their career goals after grade 12 and enquired about subjects they would study. Most students opted to take up the administrative and police officers profession, followed engineers, doctors and lawyers. During the question-answer session, students Sachin and Vivek asked why differential treatment was given to SC / ST students vis-a-vis general students by the government. To this Ojha replied that the government did not distinguish between anybody. It was the Government’s policy to make students of backward classes equal to all, by giving them special facilities, he added.
