ALLIANCE Jaime Sanborn scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift Mount Union past John Carroll 76-62 in an Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball game on Wednesday.
Mount Union built a 26-17 first quarter lead and continued to expand its advantage.
Rachel Tinkey finished with 16 points, six rebounds and five steals for the Purple Raiders. Casey Morrissette added 11 points.

JOHN CARROLL 98, MOUNT UNION 66 In University Heights, the Blue Streaks opened up a 22-point first half lead and rolled to an Ohio Athletic Conference victory over the Purple Raiders. Andrew Francesconi, JJ Kukura and Tre’Maine Gray scored 10 points apiece to lead Mount Union.
