Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting which sent a 12-year-old boy to a local hospital Wednesday evening.

Just before 9 p.m., Shreveport Police were called to an apartment home located in the 2000 block of Milam Street.  As officers arrived at the home, they located the victim suffering a single gunshot wound to the upper torso.  He was taken via ambulance to University Health hospital, and was last listed in serious, but stable condition.   

Detectives learned the boy was one of several occupants inside the home when the residence was fired on.  The victim was believed to sitting on a sofa at the time he was shot by a round which appeared to have traveled through the home’s window from outside the residence.

Authorities are seeking suspect information along with a vehicle description.
