EastEnders finally reveal who has the heist money

EASTENDERS' Mick Carter has solved the mystery of the disappearing New Year's Day heist money.

Aidan Maguire and the rest of his criminal gang have been dumbfounded ever since their stolen money was taken from them.

revealed Mick Carter, Vincent Hubbard, Keanu Taylor, Billy and Phil Mitchell all returned to Albert Square along with their ringleader in Monday's episode.

And they're hellbent on finding out what happened to their missing cash.

In tonight's episode, it looked like fingers were pointing towards Vincent, but just before the credits rolled it appeared that the business owner was just a red herring.

RED HERRING: It looked like Vincent had the heist money

Instead, it seems that the latest member of the – Callum 'Halfway' Highway – has the dosh.

In jaw-dropping scenes, Queen Vic landlord Mick waltzed over to clean the table Halfway sat at during his date with Whitney Carter.

As he swept the surface, he caught a glimpse of a ring that Highway had tried to give Whitney in an attempt to make her his girlfriend.

Dedicated fans remembered that Aidan and his gang not only swiped a treasure trove of cash but also a load of jewellery in the New Year's Day heist – where Highway accidentally shot Mick.

Audiences raced to Twitter convinced that Highway has been hiding the findings and keeping them for himself this whole time.

One person wrote: "Well, well, well... who'd have thought Halfway would be the man holding all the answers. He's got the cash."

"Yep, Halfway definitely has the heist money," added another.

But a third wasn't going to take the bait so fast.

MAIN SUSPECT: Viewers are convinced that Callum has the cash

Instead, they predicted that Halfway is being used as a pawn in the heist plot: "Another thought: Halfway was given the ring as payment for his part in the staged robbery thing… so maybe Aidan has the money and jewellery after all."

Mick is currently in a dire financial situation and his boozer is set to be ripped from him if he doesn't cough up with £150,000.

Could he pawn the piece of jewellery to keep his cash flow issues firmly at bay and sort Highway out himself, or is this another red herring?
